At Aerothreads, we specialize in designing and manufacturing high-quality Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) blankets for spacecraft and aerospace applications. As a small, dynamic company at the forefront of the space industry, we take pride in delivering precision-engineered products that support missions around the world — and beyond.

We are seeking a highly motivated Master Production Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Master Production Scheduler will lead the development, management, and execution of detailed production schedules that support both current manufacturing and new business development. This role requires close coordination with multiple internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of products that meet our customers’ exacting requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, strong organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated production schedules across multiple active programs.
  • Ensure alignment of production schedules with contract requirements, customer milestones, budgets, and internal priorities.
  • Generate and manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs) to ensure smooth workflow through the fabrication lab.
  • Perform resource loading and leveling to balance capacity with project demands.
  • Monitor and integrate Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, actual cost data, and resource plans to support forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and schedule risk assessments to proactively address potential delays.
  • Support proposal development efforts by generating baseline schedules and associated resource requirements.
  • Create customer-facing schedule deliverables as needed.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for scheduling processes and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Why Aerothreads?

  • Be part of a close-knit team delivering mission-critical products for space exploration.
  • Work in a collaborative and innovative environment where your contributions are highly visible.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to grow with a company that is passionate about supporting its employees and customers.
