Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five years as Journeyman Plumber in a commercial setting.
• Five years as Master Plumber.
• Five years of supervisory experience.
• City of Omaha Master Plumber’s License required.
• City of Omaha backflow/testing/repair/installation License required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Manages the College Plumbing Department including supervision of staff and coordination with faculty and staff.
• Provides service to maintain, repair, install and update plumbing systems.
• Reviews design of systems and may design per City codes.
• Coordinates with outside contractors, professional engineers and City of Omaha Plumbing Division.
• Coordinates with City of Omaha Permits and Inspection.
• Purchases and installs materials from local supply houses.
• Supports facilities office with P-Card reconciliations, requisitions, work orders, and service requests.
• This position is essential and may be called in for emergencies.
• Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled.
