GYMGUYZ Ventura County seeks an experienced Master Personal Trainer to lead a team, deliver high-quality in-home training, and drive client success. You will manage assessments, design programs, and mentor trainers while handling sales and growth opportunities within Ventura County and Conejo Valley.

The role combines hands-on training with leadership responsibilities, offering a clear path to advancement for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current accredited Personal Trainer certification.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• 3+ years of personal training experience.
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience conducting fitness assessments/consultations.
• Comfortable recommending and selling personal training programs.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Assisted Stretch Experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional 1:1 and semi-private personal training.
• Design safe, creative, goal-specific programs.

Master Personal Trainer

Compensation: $40–$45/hour + sales commissions/performance incentives + growth opportunities

Schedule: Flexible — full-time availability preferred

Location: Ventura County & Conejo Valley — mobile/in-home position

GYMGUYZ Ventura County is looking for an experienced Master Personal Trainer who is ready for more than just training clients. This is a hands‑on leadership position that combines personal training, assessments and sales, trainer leadership, and client success. You’ll maintain your own clients while serving as the day‑to‑day Team Lead for our training team.

What You’ll D: Train & Deliver Results

• Provide exceptional 1:1 and semi‑private personal training
• Design safe, creative, goal‑specific programs
• Set the standard for professionalism and client experience

Conduct Assessments & Drive Sales

• Conduct Initial Assessments with prospective clients
• Understand their goals and recommend the appropriate training program
• Confidently communicate our value and ask for the sale
• Follow up with undecided prospects and work toward conversion goals

Lead the Trainer Team

• Serve as a Team Lead for our personal trainers
• Mentor, support, and hold trainers accountable to GYMGUYZ standards
• Help onboard new trainers and reinforce operating procedures
• Address routine trainer/client issues and escalated larger concerns to ownership

Communicate & Follow Through

• Keep ownership informed about assessments, new clients, trainer assignments, and concerns
• Communicate proactively through our team systems
• Follow established SOPs and help ensure the trainer team does the same
• Take ownership of responsibilities without needing repeated follow‑up

You may also represent GYMGUYZ at community events, workshops, group programs, and local partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

• Current accredited Personal Trainer certification
• Current CPR/AED certification
• 3+ years of personal training experience
• Previous leadership, Lead Trainer, or mentoring experience preferred
• Experience conducting fitness assessments/consultations
• Comfortable recommending and selling personal training programs
• Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through
• Ability to respectfully hold other trainers accountable
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Assisted Stretch Experience: Previous experience providing hands‑on assisted stretching is strongly preferred. Background as a Flexologist, Stretch Practitioner, or similar role with an assisted‑stretch provider is highly desirable.
• Comfortable traveling to clients throughout Ventura County and the Conejo Valley
