Staker Parson Companies seeks a Motor Grader Operator to grade roads and sites with precision while upholding safety standards. You will read grade stakes, follow site plans, and coordinate with crews to ensure quality results.

The role requires experience operating motor graders, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety on construction sites. CDL may be preferred; valid driver’s license is required. The position involves potential overtime and outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience operating motor graders in construction, road building, paving, or aggregate operations preferred.
• Ability to read grade stakes, project plans, and construction specifications.
• Knowledge of grading techniques and drainage principles.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor graders to perform rough and finish grading on roadway, site development, and aggregate projects.
• Establish and maintain grades, slopes, drainage, and roadway alignment according to project specs.
• Read grade stakes, site plans, and construction layouts.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and complete required documentation.
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform routine servicing and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Work with supervisors, survey crews, and other operators to meet production goals.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with OSHA, MSHA, DOT and environmental regulations.
• Assist with general construction and site tasks as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
