Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Specialist to join our Meat Department. You will cut, merchandize, and prepare fresh meat products while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; Hy-Vee food safety training.
• Over one year of related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements and lift moderate weights as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Assist customers by escorting them to products and handling requests; support store needs.
• Tenderizes, grinds, and cuts merchandise; prepares cutting lists; conducts cutting tests.
• Orders new items and monitors refrigeration; maintains hygiene and department guidelines.
• Reports to work as scheduled and collaborates with the team to ensure excellent service.
