Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Journeyman Ironworker to ensure crafts are trained to follow project policies and procedures, with hands-on setup of hoisting equipment for steel erection. Candidates will position, bolt or weld steel members and maintain tools, while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 months of industrial construction experience.
• Knowledge of hoisting, alignment, and fastening procedures.
• Ability to modify steel members with welding or grinding.
• Commitment to safe loading, transportation and installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment for steel erection.
• Use tag lines on hoisted members.
• Align holes and verify vertical/horizontal alignment.
• Bolt or weld members in final position.
• Modify steel members with welding or grinders as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials.
