Job summary

The Rheem Manufacturing Company Maintenance Master Electrician position supports our Water Heater Division in Montgomery, Alabama. You will perform multi-craft maintenance, read schematics, install and test electrical systems, and troubleshoot motors, controllers, and PLCs to ensure optimal equipment performance.

The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings.
• Familiar with MS Office and maintenance software.
• Must operate forklift and related equipment.
• Must lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-craft maintenance in-plant operations.
• Read and interpret shop prints, schematics and electrical blueprints.
• Work from written/verbal orders, sketches or diagrams.
• Locate problems using tools and instrumentation.
• Install and test electrical wiring, circuits and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and schedule downtime.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials.
• Drill, weld and machine metal as needed for repairs.
• Identify bearings and seals and perform replacements.
• Install modifications to enhance equipment performance.
• Uphold safety and environmental practices.
