Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Steel Fabrication Machine Operator for a high-volume structural steel facility in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on operating robust machinery for processing and fabricating large steel components, with emphasis on heavy fabrication experience.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with beam lines, burn tables, plasma tables, plate rolls, and related heavy industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial equipment in steel fabrication/manufacturing.
• Background in heavy plate/structural steel fabrication is highly valued.
• Ability to read measurements, work instructions, and cut sheets.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee large industrial systems for fabricating structural steel.
• Configure and load raw materials per work orders and specs.
• Oversee performance of semi-automated and automated fabrication systems.
• Inspect finished components for dimensional and quality adherence.
• Interpret shop drawings, cut sheets and blueprints.
