Job summary

AMECO is seeking an experienced Equipment Field Service Technician (Master Equipment Technician) to support its regional rental fleet through field service, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. The role is based at the Prairieville, LA facility and involves shop and on-site work.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and troubleshooting capabilities and can service aerial lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, welding machines, and other industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to independently inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience servicing aerial lifts, forklifts, compressors, welders, generators, and similar equipment.
• Able to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, customers and vendors.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required.
• Must provide personally owned basic tools; larger tools provided by AMECO.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and non-routine inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in shop and field.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and implement repairs.
• Complete work orders, parts orders, billing and warranty records accurately.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support to other technicians.
• Communicate with customers regarding equipment condition and service status.
• Maintain an orderly, safe service area and vehicle; travel as required.
