Altec, a well-known OEM in the utilities and telecom sector, is seeking an equipment mechanic/technician. The role involves repairing equipment such as aerial devices, cranes, and related gear, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Expect a dynamic field environment with potential overtime and a nationwide service network. Strong hands-on mechanics experience and the ability to work across 45+ service centers will help you thrive.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Use manuals and resources to troubleshoot and identify parts needed for repair.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Adhere to Altec Safety practices and procedures.
• Advise supervisors of issues impacting customers.
• Provide accurate information on required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• All other duties as assigned.
