Job summary

Jetson Home Inc. is hiring an experienced Electrician to lead residential electrification projects in Maryland, Columbia area, and surrounding regions. You will remove gas and install electric heat pump systems, collaborating with engineering to optimize processes and product outcomes.

You will read blueprints, perform load calculations, upgrade panels, pull permits, and ensure code compliance while delivering clean, safe electrical work on every home.

Qualifications

• Master electrician license and MD permit-pulling ability
• Deep residential install experience: service upgrades, panel work
• Smart panels familiarity: Span/Leviton/Schneider
• Load calculations ability using standard methods
• Comfort with older homes and legacy wiring
• Experience coordinating with HVAC or multi-trade jobs
• Strong troubleshooting instincts
• Physical stamina for hands-on work
• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA Electrical Standards & LOTO compliance
• Preferred: heat pump HVAC electrical installs
• Preferred: cold-climate heat pumps
• Preferred: gas-to-electric conversion projects
• Stays current on electrification codes and equipment trends

Responsibilities

• Install electrical infrastructure for heat pump systems on each job.
• Perform load calculations and design code-compliant solutions.
• Upgrade main panels, including smart panels and sub-panels.
• Pull permits and manage inspections across MD jurisdictions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Troubleshoot on-site and perform repairs with speed and precision.
• Coordinate with HVAC install crews and other trades.
• Perform preventive maintenance and flag issues early.
• Test systems for functionality, performance, and code compliance.
• Spot inefficiencies in install processes and propose solutions.
• Maintain strict NEC compliance and safety practices
