Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a Delaware Master Electrician license OR license from another state meeting Delaware requirements.
• Six months experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting or HVAC.
• Six months experience in record keeping.
• Six months experience in interpreting blueprints, schematics or technical drawings.
• Six months experience in estimating cost, time and materials for projects.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Installs/inspects electrical services for power to lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Operates voltage testers, ampmeters, circuit testers, and related testing devices; restores and repairs electrical equipment.
• Maintains, repairs and replaces transformers, emergency lights, fire alarms, and related systems.
• Installs conduits, wire moldings; tests and adjusts electrical contacts.
• Locates and fixes power failures and short circuits.
• Interprets blueprints, diagrams, and layouts.
• Estimates cost and time of projects.
• Oversees maintenance staff and ensures tool security.
• Performs preventive maintenance and HVAC maintenance and restoration in trades.
