Zusammenfassung

The City of Charlotte is seeking a Master Diesel Technician to join the Fleet Management Division. You will diagnose and repair complex diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems on fire department apparatus, using advanced diagnostic tools and fleet software.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED with five years' relevant experience, NC CDL Class B within 180 days, and ASE/EVT certifications or equivalent licenses.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED with five years of relevant diesel repair experience.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess valid NC driver's license with ability to obtain Class B CDL within 180 days of hire.
• ASE/EVT certifications and state licenses preferred or required as noted.

Aufgaben

• Performs advanced diagnosis and repair of diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems on fire apparatus and related equipment.
• Documents work using fleet maintenance software and reports.
• Maintains a safe/clean work environment and adheres to safety procedures.
• Supports an on-call schedule 24 hours a day on a 4-week rotation.
