Qualifications

• 1+ year of prior relevant culinary experience.
• Familiarity with Italian cuisine is a strong plus.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Follow methods of food preparation, cooking, and garnishing as prescribed by the Chef.
• Set-up workstation based on pars and operate a specific station.
• Evaluate cooked food for quality and appearance by taste and smell.
• Ensure proper holding temperatures using thermometers and maintain safety standards.
• Complete closing requirements as directed by chefs.
• Delegate tasks to other staff as instructed by chefs.

THE JOB:

As a Master Cook at Carbone, you will bring your culinary expertise, passion for Italian cuisine, and commitment to excellence to one of the most distinctive dining experiences on the Las Vegas Strip. Working alongside our talented culinary team, you will prepare exceptional dishes, uphold the highest standards of quality and consistency, and contribute to the energy and precision of a world-class kitchen. Through your craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication to your team, you will help create unforgettable dining experiences and WOW moments that guests will remember long after their visit.

THE STARTING RATE:

$27.7721/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Follow methods of food preparation, cooking, portion size, mixing of sauces and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in an approved manner as prescribed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef
• Set-up workstation based on pars established by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef, follow station set-up sheet, and operate a specific station
• Evaluate cooked food before serving for quality flavors and appearance by taste and smell
• Drive the Customer Relations Management system by ensuring orders are handled correctly
• Comply with occupational, health and safety standards, ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures through the use of thermometers
• Complete closing requirements directed by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and/or Sous Chef
• Delegate tasks to other job classifications as instructed by chefs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1+ year of prior relevant culinary experience required
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with or prior experience preparing Italian cuisine is considered a strong plus
