Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Master Technician in Texas to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealership and factory standards. You will contribute to customer loyalty by delivering reliable service and clear communication with the Parts and Service teams.

The role includes a $7500 sign-on bonus for qualified techs, starting pay at $40 per flag plus overrides, and competitive benefits. Training and OEM certification support are provided to advance within the nationwide AutoNation network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies by store).
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order with efficiency and accuracy, per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnosing causes of malfunctions and repairing when authorized by customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Documenting work on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining tools and staying current with factory bulletins and training.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license

• A passion for cars and customer service

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.

• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.

• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.

• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.

• Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”

• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.

• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
