Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Master Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, fostering trust with customers and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, multi-point inspections, and coordinating with Parts and Service Advisors to optimize production and communication. Candidates should have a HS diploma, 2+ years of automotive technician experience, and valid in-state license.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Valid in-state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy per dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs if authorized by customer.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and make recommendations to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
  • Maintain inventory of tools not normally inventoried by Service department as needed.
  • Keep up with factory bulletins and engage in factory training as appropriate.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
