Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in the Washington DC/Baltimore area seeks a Boiler Combustion Technician for full-time field service. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial/industrial boiler equipment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, 5+ years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. HVAC certification is preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Current first aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service commercial boilers and related equipment.
• Log operations, adjust combustion, annual service, rebuilds, cleaning heat exchangers, lubrication.
• Repair/replace defective equipment, wiring, or components in boilers and burners.
• Analyze boiler and combustion trend data for optimal performance.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits of boiler systems and supervise Levels I/II technicians.
• Record billing, inventory, and timecards; provide timely reports.
• Explain technical information to customers, with clear status updates before/during/after service.
• Participate in regional and factory training; maintain required certifications and clean work area.
• Possible overnight travel as needed.
