Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a full-time Boiler Combustion Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial boiler equipment in the Washington DC and Baltimore areas.

You will lead the rebuilds and retrofits, analyze performance data, and mentor junior technicians while adhering to safety policies and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associates Degree or HVAC certification (preferred).
• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred).
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required.
• Experience mentoring less experienced technicians.
• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial boilers and associated equipment, including logging operations and lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective boiler components, burners, and controls.
• Inspect equipment to prevent failures and breakdowns.
• Analyze boiler performance data to ensure optimal operation.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits of boiler systems with junior technicians.
• Record billing, inventory, and timekeeping accurately.
• Interact with customers and explain technical information clearly.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Travel as needed for service calls.
