Job summary

Carlo's Bakery is seeking a Baker/Cake Decorating Instructor to bake and decorate daily products and to teach cake decorating classes on scheduled days. You will produce our entire line of baked goods, ensure quality, and decorate to Carlo’s standards.

The role requires 2+ years in baking/decorating or a culinary program, with classroom instruction experience and basic computer skills. You will support customer service and maintain sanitation practices in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years baking/decorating experience or a culinary program degree.
• Experience instructing cake decorating classes.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Produce our baked goods line including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and biscotti.
• Follow recipes, maintain quality and prep procedures for products.
• Decorate cakes according to Carlo’s Bakery standards.
• Maintain pace with store and customer flow.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist guests.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Greet and assist guests, promoting the company image.
• Guide front-of-house staff on product questions and selections.
• Enter specialty cake sales information into Salesforce.
• Perform other duties as directed by a manager.
