Job summary

Carlo’s Bakery in New York, NY is seeking an enthusiastic Baker/Cake Decorating Instructor who will bake, decorate, and teach cake decorating classes. You will maintain high quality, follow recipes, manage materials, and ensure food safety while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Baking/Decorating experience or a Culinary Program Degree.
• Experience instructing cake decorating classes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a busy environment.
• Food Protection Certification holder or willing to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Produce our entire line of baked goods and decorate as directed.
• Ensure quality by following recipes, maintaining material quality.
• Bake and decorate according to Carlo’s Bakery product standards.
• Maintain pace with store and customer flow.
• Rotate product in freezer/walk-in using FIFO method.
• Operate ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-ins and freezers.
• Maintain a clean production area and sanitize equipment.
• Be quick, accurate and organized in service.
• Assist customers and take specialty cake orders.
• Enter specialty cake sales information into Salesforce.
• Perform other duties as directed by a manager.
