Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Master Mechanic to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles with minimal supervision. You’ll work on newer vehicles across brands and help ensure reliability, safety, and readiness for customers.

This role offers on-the-job training, benefits, and opportunities to advance ASE certifications while contributing to a high-performance shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE certification areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, A/C, and onboard computer systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and share best practices to support shop performance.
