Job summary

Asbury in Seekonk, MA is hiring a Master/Level A Service Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing major vehicle systems. You’ll handle repairs, document work, and ensure quality service while maintaining safety and CSI goals.

The position requires strong mechanical skills, a valid license, and the ability to pass background checks; manufacturer training and ASE certifications are highly preferred. Weekly pay with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• ASE and manufacturer certifications heavily preferred; prior automotive technician experience required
• Must have basic tools
• Must have strong technical and mechanical skills
• Must be a team player and able to work on complex tasks repeatedly
• Must be at least eighteen years old
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per dealership and factory standards
• Examine vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is needed or recommended
• Utilize multi-point inspection form on each vehicle
• Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed in time
• Maintain technician proficiency as per Asbury standards
• Conduct road tests to verify work and completion
• Use manufacturer and management training to diagnose and repair
• Participate in manufacturer training programs to stay current with new technology
• Maintain CSI scores at or above goals
• Complete warranty repair orders and file warranty claims
• Report unsafe conditions to management
• Perform diagnosis and repair on automobiles and light trucks
• Use handheld devices to diagnose malfunctions
• Assist and mentor junior technicians
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean after service
• Comply with federal, state, local regulations and company policies
