Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort in Michigan is seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to perform professional massages and body treatments according to spa protocols. You will handle guest questions, maintain hygiene standards, and support spa operations while working evenings, weekends and holidays.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a Michigan Massage Therapist license with prior massage experience.

Qualifications

• Must have current Michigan Massage Therapist license.
• Previous massage therapy experience.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Providing consistent professional spa massage and body treatments compliant with spa protocols and documentation practices.

• Upholding hygiene and sterilization standards as directed by law and spa policies.
• Providing exact, suitable and instant responses to all guest requests.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and maintain a constructive attitude.
• Attending trainings and staff meetings for the spa.
• Assisting in all areas of spa operations as needed.
• Performing prep work, cleaning and restocking rooms as necessary.
• Communicating to administration any staff or guest issues requiring notice.
• Supporting spa services and promotions.

Responsibilities

The Massage Therapist's typical job functions include:

• Providing consistent professional spa massage and body treatments compliant with spa protocols and accepted documentation practices
• Handling guests’ queries and concerns efficiently and politely
• Upholding the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
• Providing exact, suitable and instant responses to all requests by guests
• Possessing the aptitude to work with no direct supervision
• Maintaining a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environment
• Regularly attending, taking part in and support training and staff meetings for the spa
• Helping in all areas of spa operation as requested by organization
• Performing prep work, correctly clean and restock room as necessary
• Communicating to administration any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that need concentration
• Actively supporting the spa, treatments, services and retail, in addition to programs, promotions and/or discounts obtainable
• Notifying management any and all occurrences connecting staff or guests in the spa that require notice
• Efficiently informing and teaching guests concerning specific wellness concerns
• Properly caring for tools and use proper amounts of manufactured goods to assist with cost controls

Qualifications

• You possess a current Michigan Massage Therapist license
