Salary Range: $14.00 – $60.00 Commission

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Effectively inform and educate guests about specific wellness concerns.
  • Be flexible with schedule to support the needs of the spa.
  • Properly care for equipment and use product amounts to assist with cost controls.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
  • Uphold standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and spa policies.
  • Perform prep work, clean, and restock room as required.
  • Communicate to management occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, retail, and program promotions or discounts available.
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Participate in promotions and events.
  • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
  • Be on time for shifts, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Skills and Abilities
  • Work effectively alongside other people and independently.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Excellent time management.
Education and Experience

Must have at least 500 hours of training at an accredited school. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Training in Shiatsu, Reflexology, and other specialty services is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a quiet professional environment.

Physical Demands

Primarily stationary work such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone.

Expected Hours of Work

The Massage Therapist position has rotating shifts, with the latest shift ending at 6:00PM. The role requires working weekends, with the choice of working both Saturday and Sunday every other weekend or one weekend day every weekend.

Less than 10% travel required.
