Job summary

VetJobs seeks an Associate Attorney to manage a high volume of mass tort cases, working with Partners and independently on assigned matters. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and settlement agreements, conducting depositions, and performing legal research.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of litigation experience, preferably in mass torts, with a strong self-starter mindset and commitment to a respected firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active state bar membership in good standing.
• Two years or more of litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with mass tort is a plus.
• Willingness to seek admission pro hac vice nationally.

Responsibilities

• Handles plaintiff mass tort cases.
• Prepares pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conducts legal research, prepares for and attends hearings and other proceedings.
• Interviews and deposes witnesses.
• Maintains client files in an organized fashion and communicates with attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
• Oversees a student law clerk as needed.
