Job summary

Bruker Daltonics is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and support high resolution Mass Spectrometry Instrumentation, with emphasis on MBT instruments, primarily in the Midwest. Based in Minneapolis, MN, you will train customers, diagnose issues, and perform installations and preventive maintenance.

The role requires 3+ years in MS repair, HPLC/nanoLC troubleshooting, and willingness to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biotech, Biology or Chemistry related fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience diagnosing and repairing mass spectrometers.
• Experience troubleshooting HPLC and nanoLC required.
• Proven knowledge of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology.
• Experience with GLP and working in a regulated environment.
• Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.
• Excellent customer focus with ability to respond to inquiries and communicate with customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Focus on the Midwest Region with travel up to 80%.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs and working in laboratory environments.
• Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of new systems, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Communicate and work closely with Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management and Applications Specialists
• Perform other duties as required.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $71,000.00 and $113,500.00 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
