Job summary

KCAS Bio, a fast-growing contract research organization headquartered in Kansas City, is seeking an Associate Scientist for the Mass Spec Bioanalysis Production group. You will contribute to study activities from sample preparation through data generation, while developing data integrity and troubleshooting skills under guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field with 1–3 years laboratory experience.
• Experience in a GLP-regulated laboratory environment.
• Experience with bioanalytical sample preparation and quantitative LC-MS/MS.
• Knowledge of GLP documentation, data integrity, and sample handling.

Responsibilities

• Execute study activities including sample prep, extraction, and LC-MS/MS analysis with moderate supervision.
• Perform established bioanalytical methods in regulated studies.
• Process data and prepare summaries for review by senior staff.
• Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate complex challenges.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with protocols, SOPs, and GLP.
