Role Description

This full-time, on-site Masonry Estimator role is based in Athol, MA. The Masonry Estimator is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for masonry and waterproofing projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project requirements, soliciting and reviewing vendor and subcontractor pricing, and assisting with bid proposals and budgets. The role also involves coordinating with project managers and field teams, updating estimates based on scope changes, and maintaining organized records of estimates and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, plans, and specifications for masonry and waterproofing work.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and bid preparation for construction or masonry projects.
• Proficiency with basic estimating software, spreadsheets, and other digital tools used for calculations and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in measurements, pricing, and project scope definition.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with project managers, field staff, vendors, and clients.
• Solid understanding of masonry materials and typical installation methods; prior field or trade experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Athol, MA, manage multiple estimates at once, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
