Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking a Masonry & Equipment Operations Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day masonry construction, concrete restoration, and site excavation projects. You will supervise skilled staff, coordinate schedules, and manage budgets for campus facilities operations.

You will ensure safety, read blueprints, guide heavy equipment usage, and collaborate with campus stakeholders to minimize disruptions while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and direct day‑to‑day masonry construction, concrete restoration, and site excavation projects.
• Review project plans with departments, estimate material and labor resources, and develop operational schedules.
• Supervise Mason IIs, Lead Mason IV, and Heavy Equipment Operators.
• Assign daily work priorities, provide technical guidance on masonry and heavy machinery, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Manage the unit's operating budget and procurement activities.
• Oversee inventory, tool procurement, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate project statuses with stakeholders and leadership.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and building codes; ensure safety compliance.
