Job summary

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Steward to support our kitchen team. You will work behind the scenes to keep the kitchen clean and organized, unload and load the dishwasher, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions.
• Must be able to change activities quickly.
• Prior hospitality, cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, efficiently processing dishes and utensils.
• Organize clean dishes, unload, stack, and store them in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen, including emptying garbage cans and performing general cleaning tasks.
• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying, and transport soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying, and transport soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.
