Job summary

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a Steward to work behind the scenes, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, and assisting with dishwashing and service support. You will help maintain a clean work environment and support the team during busy dining periods.

The role emphasizes reliability, the ability to adapt to changing tasks, and prior hospitality or janitorial experience is preferred. This is a great entry point to a vibrant restaurant team at Mason Street Grill.

Qualifications

• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions.
• Must be able to change activities quickly.
• Prior hospitality, cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, efficiently processing dishes and utensils.
• Organize clean dishes, unload, stack, and store them in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen, including emptying garbage cans and performing general cleaning tasks.
• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying, and transport soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.
