Aus-Mex Company Inc in Midland, TX is seeking a skilled Masa Maker to join our hands-on team. You will craft authentic masa daily, operate grinders and mixers, and ensure product quality in a fast-paced production environment.

No experience is required, but familiarity with nixtamalization and masa preparation is helpful. We offer a collaborative workplace with health benefits, discounts, and a path to grow within a traditional Mexican food producer.

Qualifications

• No prior masa production, tortilla manufacturing or food production experience required.
• Knowledge of traditional nixtamalization and masa preparation techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to operate and clean industrial food processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce fresh masa daily using traditional and/or commercial masa-making processes.
• Monitor and adjust masa consistency, texture, and moisture levels to meet quality standards.
• Operate and maintain masa-making equipment, including grinders and mixers.
• Manage nixtamalization process, including soaking, cooking, and grinding corn.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized production workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
• Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Ensure consistent product output to meet daily production demands.
