Aus-Mex Company Inc in Midland, TX seeks a Masa Maker to craft authentic masa in a fast-paced food production setting. This is a hands-on role centered in our Midland facility, focusing on traditional masa-making techniques and ensuring high quality outputs.

Qualifications emphasize no prior masa experience required, with knowledge of nixtamalization and ability to operate industrial equipment. The role supports a collaborative team and a commitment to cleanliness and product consistency.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary in masa production, tortilla manufacturing, or food production.
• Knowledge of traditional nixtamalization and masa preparation techniques
• Ability to operate and clean industrial food processing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and consistency
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a production environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Responsabilités

• Prepare and produce fresh masa daily using traditional and/or commercial masa-making processes
• Monitor and adjust masa consistency, texture, and moisture levels to meet quality standards
• Operate and maintain masa-making equipment, including grinders and mixers
• Manage nixtamalization process, including soaking, cooking, and grinding corn
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized production workspace in compliance with food safety standards
• Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate supply needs to management
• Ensure consistent product output to meet daily production demands
