Vallarta Supermarkets in Fresno, CA is seeking a Nixtamalero to produce corn and flour tortillas from start to finish using traditional methods. You’ll also stock, rotate, and merchandize products while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills required to greet and assist customers.
• Ability to learn tortilla production from raw materials to finished product.
• Must work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Basic understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with tortilla orders with friendly service.
• Prepare masa, nixtamal, fry tortillas, and follow recipes.
• Maintain sanitation and clean equipment and work areas.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise tortilla products.
• Package tortillas and transport to storage as directed.
• Follow health code regulations and safety program.
• Support training of new employees and communicate with manager.
• Perform additional tasks to support operations and customer satisfaction.
