Job summary

Friedman Vartolo LLP in Maryland is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to manage matters from pre-filing through post-sale. You will review titles, prepare complaints, file documents, and monitor deadlines to ensure timely progression in foreclosure cases.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of Maryland foreclosure experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure while communicating effectively with clients and trustees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-year Maryland foreclosure experience.
• Broad Knowledge of Real Estate Default Services.
• Experience in LPS, Caseaware, Tempo is a plus.
• Superior Organizational Skills, Research, and Writing Skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct title review to identify ownership interests, liens, and encumbrances; resolve title defects.
• Review loan documents and recorded instruments to ensure chain of title accuracy.
• Prepare, file, and docket foreclosure complaints and related pleadings; manage eFiling and service.
• Manage court dockets and case progression from filing through sale.
• Coordinate service of process, affidavits, and related documents; resolve service issues.
• Coordinate foreclosures sales, including scheduling and communication with trustees, courts, and clients.
• Prepare and process foreclosure deeds and post-sale documents.
• Maintain accurate case records and provide status updates per client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Maryland foreclosure statutes, court rules and firm procedures.
