Job summary

Friedman Vartolo LLP seeks an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to manage Maryland foreclosure matters from pre-filing through post-sale. You will handle title review, complaint preparation, docket management, service coordination, and sale logistics with a focus on Maryland statutes, court rules, and recording requirements.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of Maryland foreclosure experience, knowledge of real estate default services, and strong organizational, research, and writing

Qualifications

  • Maryland foreclosure experience required.
  • Broad knowledge of real estate default services.
  • Experience with LPS, CaseAware, Tempo is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, research and writing skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently under deadlines.
  • Confident on the phone and able to handle high workload.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct title review and analysis to identify interests, liens, and defects and resolve title issues.
  • Review loan documents to ensure chain of title accuracy and continuity.
  • Draft and file foreclosure complaints and related pleadings; manage eFiling and docketing.
  • Monitor court dockets and progression from filing to service and sale per deadlines.
  • Coordinate service of process, including affidavits, bonds, and related documents; resolve issues.
  • Coordinate foreclosure sales including scheduling, postponements, and communications with trustees, courts, clients, and vendors.
  • Prepare and process foreclosure deeds and post-sale documents; address title or ratification issues.
  • Maintain accurate case records and provide status updates per client and firm requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Maryland foreclosure statutes, court rules, and firm procedures.
