Job summary

Tommy Bahama is hiring to lead the front-of-house restaurant team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role focuses on creating a learning environment, maintaining staffing levels, and overseeing payroll to meet budget targets.

You will implement training programs, monitor performance, and ensure effective transfer of skills on the job, while promoting open dialogue with hotel staff, regional and corporate partners. This position emphasizes safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-of-house teams in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Ability to manage payroll hours to meet budgeted targets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front of the house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success, and internal career growth.
• Maintain appropriate staff levels. Manage payroll hours to budgeted payroll percentage.
• Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, follow-up and monitor performance to ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job.
• Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures.
• Develop/streamline restaurant processes in partnership with the Restaurant General Manager.
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests. Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Routine standing for duration of shift
• Safely Maneuvering the following types of equipment or machinery: Hand cart, blenders, knives, slices, wine keys and other tools provided to complete work
• Scheduled shifts determined by business needs
