Job summary

Tommy Bahama is seeking a hands-on leader to drive service excellence across our front-of-house team as we expand the Island Life concept nationwide.

You will create a learning environment, manage staffing and payroll to budget, roll out training programs, and collaborate with guests, regional and corporate teams to maintain safety and exceptional standards.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front-of-house team members to promote sales and service success and internal career growth.
• Maintain appropriate staff levels and manage payroll hours to budgeted payroll percentage.
• Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, monitor performance and ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job.
• Cultivate open, authentic dialogue with restaurant team, regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures.
• Develop and streamline restaurant processes in partnership with the Restaurant General Manager.
• Administer safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests, ensuring a clean, safe and upbeat environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front of the house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success, and internal career growth.
• Maintain appropriate staff levels. Manage payroll hours to budgeted payroll percentage.
• Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, follow-up and monitor performance to ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job.
• Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures.
• Develop/streamline restaurant processes in partnership with the Restaurant General Manager.
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests. Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Routine standing for duration of shift
• Safely Maneuvering the following types of equipment or machinery: Hand cart, blenders, knives, slices, wine keys and other tools provided to complete work
• Scheduled shifts determined by business needs
