Job summary

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a Fabrication Mechanic - Marking Operator to join the team. Under supervision, you will accurately label parts and assemblies using Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen or Ink methods.

Shift options: 1st: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM; 2nd: 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM with a $1.00 pay differential. Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read engineering drawings and routers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings or routers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Mark parts and assemblies using Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen or Ink to clearly identify materials.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements.
  • Stand, lift up to 25 pounds as needed and perform duties safely and accurately.

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Fabrication Mechanic - Marking Operator to join the team. Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the accurate labeling of parts and assemblies using various marking methods. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.


1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:45AM to 3:15PM


2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:15PM to 1:45AM with $1.00 pay differential


Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Understands engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements

  • Use the appropriate marking method (Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen, Ink) to clearly and correctly identify materials, test pieces, and other assemblies as required

  • Barcode scan or manually enter identification requirements in the computer

  • Manually transfer ink marking onto part surfaces

  • Pre-form aluminum tags before assembly

  • Apply aluminum tags into place

  • Assemble stainless tags onto hoses and tubes

  • Assemble shrink sleeve over marking as required and set in place

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed


Qualifications

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
