STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a Fab Mechanic - Mold Prep & Trim to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on setting up and operating abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment to meet cosmetic and dimensional specs for assemblies and details.

You will use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to required limits, prepare parts for curing in ovens, and ensure parts pass dimensional checks against blueprints. Regular attendance and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 1–3 months related experience or training or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials and components.
• Sets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions by customer and to company operating procedures
• Sets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment to prepare assemblies and details to acceptable cosmetic and dimensional requirements.
• Use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to acceptable limits and specifications.
• Uses chemicals, such as, but not limited to; chemlock, acetone, and alcohol for the preparation of parts for the next process.
• Prepares parts for curing in ovens in preparation for molding operations.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
