STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabrication Mechanic - Mold Prep & Trim associate to set up and operate abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment for cosmetic and dimensional compliance. Training on 2nd shift is required; typical shift is Mon-Thu 3:15 PM–1:45 AM with a $1.00 shift differential.

Responsible for quality checks and prep for molding operations. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and using various hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials and assemblies to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions.
• Operates Dremel tools and buffing wheels; applies sandpaper scuffing techniques to prepare surfaces for finishing processes.
• Uses hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to acceptable limits and specifications.
• Uses chemicals such as chemlock, acetone, and alcohol to prepare parts for the next process.
• Prepares parts for curing in ovens prior to molding operations.

• Uses chemicals, such, but not limited to; chemlock, acetone, and alcohol for the preparation of parts for the next process.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
