DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking an Applied Science Manager to lead the Marketplace & Decision Optimization team, shaping how carriers find loads, how brokers negotiate, and how the marketplace clears. You will own models, experiments, and analyses on high-leverage problems while growing a team of applied scientists.

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Ph.D. or MS).
• 6+ years in applied science or data science, with 2+ years directly leading scientists.
• Strong foundation in causal inference and experimental design.
• Fluent SQL and Python; able to review models and experiments with technical teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Marketplace & Decision Optimization Team: set roadmap and hire engineers as needed.
• Drive mechanism innovation for carrier engagement, auctions, and negotiations.
• Build business decision optimization for subscription monetization and growth.
• Design and analyze experiments with sophisticated designs (switchback, cluster-randomized, quasi-experimental).
• Set reusable experimentation standards and collaborate across product, engineering, and design.
• Influence cross-functional partners to translate evidence into strategic decisions.
