We’re currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to support our team. This is a remote position (must be located in the United States), and travel expectations are up to 5%.
Position Summary
- A Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote a company’s products or services. They create content, manage digital and traditional marketing efforts, analyze campaign performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
What you'll do
- Campaign Execution: Plan and implement marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, email, social media, and print.
- Content Creation: Develop marketing materials such as blog posts, social media content, advertisements, and email newsletters.
- Market Research: Analyze industry trends, competitors, and customer insights to refine marketing strategies.
- SEO & Digital Marketing: Optimize content for search engines, manage paid advertising (Google Ads, social media ads), and track online engagement.
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and monitor social media posts to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Event & Promotion Support: Assist with planning promotional events, trade shows, and product launches.
- Performance Analysis: Track marketing KPIs, campaign success, and ROI, using tools like Google Analytics, CRM software, and email marketing platforms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and design teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and successful campaign execution.
What you'll bring
Foundational Marketing Knowledge
- Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, including digital marketing, content creation, social media management, branding, and advertising.
- Exposure to SEO, email marketing, and basic analytics through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Awareness of consumer behavior and branding strategies.
Creativity & Content Development
- Strong writing and communication skills to craft engaging content for blogs, social media, and marketing campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for simple graphics and visuals.
- Technical Skills: Experience with marketing software such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and SEO tools.
- A fresh, innovative perspective on branding and audience engagement.
Adaptability & Willingness to Learn
- Eagerness to grow and develop marketing skills through hands-on experience.
- Quick learner who can adapt to new tools, trends, and strategies.
- Openness to feedback and collaboration with more experienced team members.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Basic understanding of marketing analytics and KPIs from coursework or academic projects.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to research competitors and industry trends to support marketing decisions.
- Ability to measure campaign performance and adjust strategies for better results.
- A curious mindset, always looking for ways to improve content and engagement.
Organization & Teamwork
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Ability to present ideas clearly and work effectively with various teams.
- Ability to collaborate with different teams and take initiative on projects.
- Enthusiastic team player who contributes ideas and supports marketing goals.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Clearance / Suitability
Ability to obtain a clearance or a Public Trust is preferred, however all clearance levels and non-cleared applicants will also be considered.
Years of Experience
- 1-3 of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or a related role preferred.
- Experience with social media platforms, email marketing, and content creation is preferred.
Bonus Points
- More than 3 years related experience.
- Experience with HubSpot.
