Qualifications

Responsibilities

R.W. Sullivan Engineering is hiring a Marketing Specialist with over 5 years of experience in the Engineering/Construction or similar industry to join our marketing team. This position will be responsible for leading the development and coordination of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, marketing materials, and other business development initiatives for our engineering firm.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and project manager who can manage multiple deadlines, collaborate effectively with technical staff and leadership, and translate complex engineering services and project experience into compelling, client-focused content. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of marketing and/or proposal experience, preferably within an engineering, architecture, construction, or other professional services firm.
• Proven experience managing proposals and qualifications packages from initial solicitation through submission.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear, compelling client-focused content.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical professionals and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or InDesign preferred.
• Experience with CRM, proposal management, or marketing databases preferred.

Areas of Responsibility Include:

1. Proposal/Presentation Development - work closely with the President, Team Leaders and Principals to develop proposal, qualifications, and presentation materials in response to RFQs and RFPs. Assist in maintaining/updating in-house proposal list.
2. Support for Marketing Materials: Project Experience, Staff Resumes, Client References, Photography, and Client Testimonials - Work with the marketing team to assist in maintaining/updating materials including deadline-oriented marketing packages, company master marketing files and awards won by the company.
3. Website & Social Media Maintenance - Manage the firm's social media platforms (New Website, Website blog, LinkedIn, Newsletter, etc.)including posting and writing of news and updating project information. Assist in creating new social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for the company. Knowledge of email marketing preferred.
4. CRM Management - responsible for maintaining the CRM database with proposal and marketing information; ability to print customized reports for use in qualifications packages; and updating company marketing database.
5. Advertisements - Assist in developing advertisements as needed for client and industry events.
6. Business Development - Support of various initiatives and special event projects as the need occurs throughout the year. Keep track of leads and assignments for monthly business development meetings.
