Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance, a mutual insurance company based in Lansing, Michigan, is seeking a motivated student for a summer internship in the Marketing & Sales Education & Training team. This in-person opportunity runs five days a week and offers hands-on learning in a real-world setting.

Candidates should be current college students entering junior or senior year, with strong communication, data interpretation, and multi-tasking skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college and entering junior or senior year.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to analyze data and organize information.
• Willingness to travel to branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare educational materials that focus on areas in need of improvement and use these materials in a manner that facilitates the development of other associates.
• Assess, direct and participate in training and skill building that may include travel to work with Branch and Home Office Associates including management.
• Direct the activities of associates in meeting company objectives.
• Objectively evaluate the progress of meeting training objectives; analyze training procedures; and prepare reports for management that include conclusions and recommendations for training alternatives and methods.
• Implement policies established by Senior Management.
• Work effectively with associates and customers at all levels.
• Travel to branches as requested to perform activities as may be required.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within Home Office or elsewhere on request.
