Job summary

Three Rivers Casino Resort in Coos Bay, OR is seeking a Promotions Representative to welcome guests with a cheerful, responsive presence and to promote daily promotions and casino information.

You will emcee on the floor, entertain with improvisation, assist in events, manage promo drawings, and help with guest service, vouchers, and player club explanations.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Guest Services experience or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment.
• Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.

Starting Wage: $18.50 hourThe Promotions Representative is responsible for greeting all guests in a pleasant, courteous, and enthusiastic manner while executing daily promotions and providing general guest service.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides the highest level of guest service by greeting all guests individually and pleasantly with a positive, and cheerful demeanor.Creates a welcoming floor presence, announcing promotions, Casino information, and jackpot winners on the microphone.Acts as the properties emcee, providing improvisation and filibuster-style entertainment.Demonstrates proactive, spontaneous, “above and beyond” approach to guest service.Develops lasting relationships with guests each time they visit.Makes decisions regarding valuable complimentaries based on a consideration of recorded play, earned points, comp availability, and customer profitability.May provide drink service to guests on the floor as needed.Executes all promotions, drawings, and functions necessary to complete promotions.May redeem vouchers for guests in an attempt to provide superior guest service for those guests who may need assistance.Assists in the development and implementation of special events and promotions.Maintains adequate inventory of office supplies and marketing materials.Exchanges coins for cash and make cash for cash exchanges.Maintains awareness of, and effectively communicates to other staff, property-wide/company promotions, events, and programs.Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.Other duties as directed by management.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITYThe minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Must have a minimum of 6 months of Guest Services experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Possess or obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment.Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.General understanding of computer programs, including all Windows applications required.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing, or by other acceptable means.Comply with pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 8 hours.Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend, and squat frequently.Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.SERVICE COMMITMENTS - Exceptional Guest Service is key to the success of Three Rivers Casino Resort and each of our Team Members.
