Job summary

Texas A&M International University is seeking a Student Worker to support the Imaginarium of South Texas with marketing, outreach, events, programs, and public engagement. You will help promote museum programs, field trips, camps, exhibits, memberships, special events, and community initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in marketing, communications, social media, and design.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating or managing content for social media platforms.
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms.
• Ability to take quality photos and videos using a phone or camera.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule engaging social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
• Assist with marketing campaigns for museum events, programs, field trips, camps, birthday parties, fundraisers, and special activities.
• Design flyers, graphics, email announcements, and other promotional materials.
• Take photos and short videos during museum events and programs for marketing and community outreach.
• Assist with updating website content, newsletters, calendars, and event listings.
• Support community outreach efforts by promoting partnerships, sponsorships, and local collaborations.
• Track social media engagement and campaign performance to help improve future outreach efforts.
• Maintain organized marketing files, photo libraries, contact lists, and promotional calendars.
• Represent the Imaginarium in a professional, positive, and family-friendly manner.
