Job summary

Texas A&M International University is seeking a Student Worker for the Office of Student Affairs in Laredo. The position offers hands-on learning through community engagement activities and grant-funded initiatives with the Lopez Foundation.

On-campus, in-person work supports student services and program operations. The student will assist in events, outreach, and data collection while developing professional skills and maintaining eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at least half-time (undergrad 6 credits/semester or grad 3)
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA (undergrad) or 3.0 (graduate)
• On-campus, in-person attendance required
• SAPP policy requirements must be met

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of educational and community activities
• Support outreach initiatives and Lopez Foundation grant projects
• Work with students, community members, or partners to provide program support and customer service
• Assist with event planning, workshops, and participant engagement
• Create communications and marketing materials (social media, flyers, newsletters)
• Maintain records, track participation, and assist with data collection and assessments
