Part-time to start, approximately 20 hours per week (4 hours per day).
Preferred schedule: Morning hours aligned with U.S. Eastern Time (EST).
Company Overview
We work with U.S.-based e-commerce and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) businesses focused on sustainable growth, marketing performance, and profitability. Our goal is to help established brands scale their online sales through strategic marketing, data-driven decisions, and effective coordination of specialized marketing partners.
We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and commercially minded Marketing Manager who understands the U.S. e-commerce market and knows how to connect marketing activities to measurable business results. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on experience overseeing paid advertising, email marketing, CRM, and Amazon marketplace growth.
This person will play a key role in coordinating external agencies, evaluating performance, and ensuring marketing investments contribute to revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
Role Overview
As the Marketing Manager, you will oversee the company's marketing strategy and coordinate the external agencies and specialized partners responsible for execution across multiple channels.
You will serve as the central point of contact between the business and its marketing partners, ensuring campaigns, budgets, deliverables, and growth initiatives align with company objectives. Rather than executing every campaign yourself, you will evaluate performance, identify opportunities, challenge agency recommendations when necessary, and hold partners accountable for results.
You will connect paid media, email marketing, CRM, and Amazon marketplace initiatives to the broader business goals, using performance data to prioritize opportunities and drive profitable e-commerce growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Marketing Strategy & E-commerce Growth: Develop and coordinate marketing strategies that increase online sales, improve conversion rates, strengthen customer acquisition, and support long-term business growth.
- Paid Advertising & Performance Marketing: Oversee Meta Ads initiatives across Facebook and Instagram, coordinate paid media agencies, monitor advertising budgets, and evaluate key performance indicators such as ROAS and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
- Email Marketing & CRM: Oversee email marketing, customer retention, segmentation, automation, and lifecycle marketing initiatives. Coordinate specialized partners to improve customer engagement, repeat purchases, and lifetime value (LTV).
- Amazon & Marketplace Growth: Oversee Amazon marketing initiatives, product listing optimization, content improvements, and conversion performance. Coordinate with specialized agencies to increase product visibility and marketplace sales.
- Agency & Partner Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external marketing agencies and service providers. Establish clear expectations, timelines, deliverables, and performance standards while ensuring accountability and follow-through.
- Analytics & Performance Reporting: Monitor revenue growth, conversion rates, CAC, ROAS, LTV, email revenue, retention, and overall marketing efficiency. Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Cross-Channel Coordination: Ensure paid media, email marketing, CRM, Amazon, and other marketing activities work together toward shared business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify performance gaps, challenge underperforming strategies, allocate resources effectively, and recommend initiatives that improve marketing efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
Must Have:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in marketing management, e-commerce, DTC, or performance marketing.
- U.S. E-commerce Experience: Proven experience working with U.S.-based e-commerce brands and a solid understanding of the U.S. consumer market.
- Agency Management: Experience managing or coordinating external marketing agencies, evaluating their performance, and holding them accountable for results.
- Paid Advertising Knowledge: Strong understanding of paid media, particularly Meta Ads across Facebook and Instagram.
- Email Marketing & CRM: Experience overseeing email marketing, customer lifecycle initiatives, retention strategies, and CRM activities.
- Amazon Marketplace Experience: Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, product listings, marketplace marketing, and listing optimization.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to interpret marketing metrics and business KPIs, identify performance gaps, and turn data into actionable recommendations.
- Multi-Channel Marketing: Experience coordinating marketing initiatives across multiple channels and specialized teams or service providers.
- Strong Communication & Organization: Excellent communication, prioritization, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Autonomy & Ownership: Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage competing priorities, and focus on measurable business outcomes.
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting established DTC or e-commerce brands with multimillion-dollar annual revenue.
- Experience helping businesses scale toward $10 million in annual sales.
- Familiarity with email marketing and CRM platforms such as Klaviyo.
- Experience improving Amazon product listings, conversion rates, and marketplace performance.
- Understanding of customer acquisition, retention, contribution margin, and overall e-commerce profitability.
