Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

ABOUT ADEPT MATERIALS

Adept Materials is an investor-backed, seed-stage startup that has developed a patented system of material layers that work together to passively regulate moisture and humidity in homes. We are preparing to launch Lilypad , a first-of-its-kind moisture-regulating paint and primer system. Adept’s technology can be applied to a variety of products in buildings and beyond, and the company plans to bring additional products to market after Lilypad.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and self-starting Marketing Manager to help us introduce Lilypad to the world and shape how people discover, engage with, and talk about our brand. You will be at the heart of our launch efforts, with a focus on content creation, copywriting, and social media execution.

As the first dedicated marketing position, this is a high-touch, high-impact role. You will work closely with our executive team and be expected to own your work and bring new ideas to the table.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own and manage a monthly content calendar for social, email, and influencer content and press
• Design and produce original, compelling content (e.g., text, graphics, videos) to promote our products and build our brand
• Social Media & Email Marketing
• Develop and execute a social media strategy across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Youtube, TikTok) to increase visibility, grow our audience, and foster engagement
• Create and publish social content, including behind-the-scenes content, lab videos, and storytelling posts
• Develop and execute targeted email campaigns (e.g., grow subscriber base, design email workflows, build email templates, deploy sends to target customer segments)
• Play a key role in building Lilypad’s brand voice and visual presence across digital channels
• Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns with KPIs
• Manage and nurture relationships with other brands and influencers – identifying potential partners, coordinating posts, and tracking deliverables

WHO YOU ARE

• 2 - 4 years of experience in marketing and/or adjacent activities (i.e., communications, social media, content creation, copywriting)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging messages in a consistent brand voice
• Creative across different media, with an eye for visual storytelling
• Strong organizational skills - you are comfortable managing calendars, meeting deadlines, and keeping track of lots of moving parts
• Familiarity with email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo), social media platforms and their analytics, and design/video platforms (e.g., Canva, CapCut, etc.)
• Able and excited to work independently in an early-stage startup with a small but mighty team

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Expected salary range: $75,000 - $95,000, depending on experience
